Lys Mediterranee by Frederic Malle Perfume. Lys Mediterranee is a sophisticated floral perfume launched in 2000.
This animalic scent is comprised of aquatic, musky accords, and it was developed by notable perfumer Edouard Flechier. The sophisticated fragrance opens with the delicate spice of ginger mixed with fresh sea water notes. The heart turns floral and includes lily, lotus, angelica and orange blossom. The base is a simple combination of vanilla and musk.
In 1962, notable fragrance
designer Frederic Malle was born in Paris. His grandfather was the creator of Christian Dior’s perfumes division and his mother worked for the same company as an Art Director. Malle himself studied art in New York until he was offered a perfuming job at Roure Bertrand Dupont. This spray is contained in one of the brand’s iconic glass flacons. It is cylindrically shaped with a light gold color and a simple black lid on top. The title and information are printed on a horizontal black stripe around the glass.
