Badgley Mischka was launched in 1988 by Mark Badgley and James Mischka
. In 1982 Badgley was a student at the University of Southern California before relocating to New York to study at Parsons School of Design. At the same time Mischka decided to take a semester off his studies at Rice University to visit New York City where he ended up staying and also enrolled at Parsons. With their ready to wear lines firmly established, numerous awards and accolades to their name and a with growing reputation among the jet setters and the celebrity set for their glamorous eveningwear, Badgley and Mischka branched out into bridal wear, handbags, shoes, eyewear and fragrances. As their clothes are generally made with lighter fabrics, with less construction and not geared specifically for women of a certain age range, its ease of wear continues to make them a popular choice.
In conjunction with Elizabeth Arden, Badgley Mischka launched their self titled fragrance in 2006. Very much like their elegant red carpet gowns, their self titled perfume, Badgley Mischka, is both elegant and glamorous, and like a bouquet of the finest and most fragrant florals, timeless. Fleurs de Nuit was introduced in 2007 and again is another sophisticated floral perfect for the most formal and romantic of events. The charismatic Badgley Mischka Couture was launched in 2009.
