Cuir Curcuma by Affinessence Perfume. Created by Alexandra Carlin and released in 2017, Cuir Curcuma is one of the first perfumes to feature turmeric as a central ingredient. The turmeric combines with leather to make a balsamic and spicy unisex scent. Other ingredients include benzoin, patchouli, orris, myrrh and sandalwood.

Those noses were then given an unlimited budget to create a fragrance based on that scent. The result was The Base Notes Collection, which also features perfumes with lead ingredients such as vanilla and benzoin, musk and ambergris, sandalwood and basmati, cedar and iris, and patchouli and agarwood. The perfumes are designed to be worn either alone or with other perfumes to create a unique sensual scent.
