A French fashion house, Yves Saint Laurent was founded by Yves Henri Donat Mathieu-Saint-Laurent in the early 1960s, and he quickly went on to become one of the most influential designers of his time. He created ready-to-wear fashions that were sold at boutiques and department stores across the country and is even credited with designing the first tuxedo for women. He retired in the 1980s and since then, the company has worked with such designers as Tom Ford. The company released its first fragrance in 1964 and has created nearly 200 since then.
