Questions and Answers

Q: How does Yves Saint Laurent Y Le Parfum smell?

A: Y Le Parfum cologne for men by YSL will take you to a fresh summer day with its blend of citrus, floral and earthy scent notes. Fresh top notes of apple and grapefruit blend perfectly into the middle notes of lavender and sage to remind you of the sweetness of summer. Earthy base notes of Tonka bean and olibanum keep the fragrance grounded.

Q: Where do you apply YSL Y Le Parfum cologne?

A: To increase the longevity of the masculine fragrance, spray onto your major pulse points such as behind your ears, at the base of your neck, on the wrists, behind the knees and in the inner elbows.

Q: What is the fragrance concentration?

A: Y Le Parfum is one of the strongest types of fragrances you can buy. Stronger than both eau de toilettes and eau de colognes, eau de parfums are up to 20% essential oils. The stronger oils make it easier to seek out specific notes in the fragrance and help the scent to last throughout the day.

Q: Is this fragrance for him or her?

A: This YSL cologne was designed to be a masculine scent for men. However, anyone who enjoys Y Le Parfum can and should wear it.

Q: Does it last long?

A: Y Le Parfum by Yves Saint Laurent is an eau de parfum, which means it contains stronger scent ingredients and has an average lifespan of 4-6 hours. However, the weather, how you apply the fragrance and your body chemistry factor into how long it lasts for you. When applying, remember that the hotter it is outside, the stronger your fragrance will be to passersby. It will also dissipate more quickly, though, thanks to interacting with your body's pH levels at a faster rate. You may be able to increase the longevity of this men's fragrance by applying a bit of petroleum jelly to your pulse points before spraying your cologne. This keeps it from reacting to your body chemistry as quickly. It also helps to layer similarly scented products.

Q: What fragrances smell similar?

A: Fragrances that smell similar to YSL Y Le Parfum cologne include Ralph's Club by Ralph Lauren, Y Eau de Parfum Intense by Yves Saint Laurent and Le Male Le Parfum by Jean Paul Gaultier.

Q: What season should I wear it?

A: Y Le Parfum cologne is recommended for all seasons. The earthy patchouli and cedar shine through and make it popular during the cooler months while the sweet apple and intoxicating floral notes ensure it also works during warm months.

Q: Where can I buy Yves Saint Laurent Y Le Parfum?

A: Perfume.com is perhaps one of the best online fragrance retailers when buying YSL cologne, because we offer the widest selection of authentic perfumes and colognes, competitive pricing and top-notch customer service.
