Tuscan Soul Viola Essenziale, a women’s perfume released in 2013, is part of the Tuscan Soul Quintessential Collection fragrance line. This rich, powdery floral is inspired by the intoxicating scent of the irises of Florence. Top notes include sweet neroli and juicy lychee fruit, accentuated by heart notes of orange blossom and Florence orange absolut. At the base of the fragrance, you’ll detect notes of earthy, sensual patchouli and
musk. Perfumer Sonia Constant has also formulated scents for Alexander McQueen, Burberry and Coach among many other high-end brands.
The Salvatore Ferragamo brand has been associated with high-quality Italian fashions and fragrances since its namesake founder began designing shoes for Hollywood A-listers in the 1920s. Ferragamo moved from his native Italy to Boston in 1914 and studied footwear design and anatomy. He returned to Florence in 1927 and began his career, eventually becoming famous for inventing the wedge heel. The Ferragamo family still owns the premium beauty, fragrance and clothing company today.
Born the 11th of 14th children in Bonito Italy in 1898, Salvatore Ferragamo, the “shoemaker to the stars”, found his calling at an early age and apprenticed to a shoemaker in Naples when he was only nine years old.
