Named after the company’s founder, who was born in Italy in the 19th century before coming to the United States as a child, the brand started out as a famed shoe company but has grown over the last couple decades to include fragrances, bags and more.
Born the 11th of 14th children in Bonito Italy in 1898, Salvatore Ferragamo, the “shoemaker to the stars”, found his calling at an early age and apprenticed to a shoemaker in Naples when he was only nine years old.
