Released in 1990, Pierre Cardin Rose Cardin is a floral perfume for women with moderate longevity and heavy sillage to last all day long. The top notes are comprised of cardamom, coriander, Brazilian rosewood, aldehydes and fruity tones. Next, the middle notes include carnation, lily of the valley, ylang ylang, rose and jasmine for a floral bouquet in the heart. Finally, the base notes bring a sensual and woodsy finish with a blend of amber,
incense, vetiver, musk, patchouli and sandalwood.
Pierre Cardin was established as a fashion company in 1950 after the founder gained experience in the fashion industry by working for Jeanne Paquin and Christian Dior. The brand’s fashion style became an icon for futuristic designs and released ready-to-wear collection for both men and women. In 1972, the first fragrance for men was released and paved the way for the line of perfumes available today. Fascinated by costume design from an early age, Italian born French designer Pierre Cardin started his career in 1936 at age 14 as a clothier’s apprentice, learning the basics of fashion design.
