Paithani by Penhaligon's Perfume. Paithani is a spicy, vivid unisex perfume with Eastern influences.
The notes blend together to create a woodsy and leathery perfume with a kick. The top notes of black pepper, cardamom and nutmeg bring a spiced first impression of the scent. Rose, mate absolute and milk accord combine for an aromatic tea-like scent, milder than the warm top notes. The base of labdanum, leather, amber wood and Indian cedar is earthy with a tinge of smoke. The scent combination
is distinctive and reminiscent of incense.
This fragrance was released in 2017. Penhaligon's is a classic British perfume house founded in 1870 by the eponymous William Penhaligon. Its original location was destroyed in World War Ii, and while it continued to trade in fragrances without a physical location, its next shop opening would not be until 1975. Its perfumes are gaining traction at an increasing number of luxury shops across North America and Europe.
