Alizarin by Penhaligon's Perfume. Alizarin is a women’s leather perfume.
Introduced in 2016, this fragrance begins with mandarin orange and narcissus head notes. Mimosa, tuberose, and iris notes meet in the middle, with leather, incense, vetiver, and oud base notes ending this work. The ideal time to wear this scent is during fall and winter seasons, day or night.
The flacon reveals gold liquid and has a gold neck with a black bowtie and a clear, round, pearl-like stopper. Penhaligon’s was
founded as a perfume house by William Penhaligon in 1870. Penhaligon, a barber, created products for his clients. After the founder sold his business in the 1950s, the company fell into obscurity until 1975, when it was restarted. Based in London, England, the company has its flagship store in Covent Garden, with other locations in London, throughout the United Kingdom, the United States, Asia, and Europe. Spanish fragrance house Puig acquired the company in 2015.
