Montale Red Vetiver by Montale Cologne. Montale Red Vetiver is a men’s Oriental woody cologne that was presented in 2008.
Fragrance notes of vetiver, patchouli, cedar, pepper, grapefruit, and Peru balsam are combined. It is ideal for day wear during the spring, summer, and fall months. The aluminum flacon is a deep red color, with gold accents at the neck and the spray top.
Montale is the eponymous niche perfume house of perfumer Pierre Montale, who began his career with the family business,
Comptoir Sud Pacifique. After it had been in business for 15 years, the perfumer traveled to the Middle East, where he worked for nobility in Saudi Arabia, Dubai, and Qatar. The perfumer was inspired by the aromas and decided to create his own brand in 2003 to introduce Europeans to fragrances with Arabian ingredients, particularly oud, incense, sandalwood, and cedar. His second fragrance line, Mancera, produces lighter and fresher versions of the same.
