Montale Aoud Roses Petals by Montale Perfume. Montale Aoud Roses Petals features an interesting blend of woodsy and floral ingredients.
The combination of rose and saffron in this 2005 perfume creates a sweet and spicy effect. The scent also includes notes of cedar, guaiac and teak woods along with the precious resin oud.
The fragrance is one of several in this perfume house that combine oud and rose. Nose Pierre Montale frequently uses roses in his perfumes. They remind him of the gardens in
the Orient though he imports them from all around the globe, including India, Turkey, France and Bulgaria. He also takes roses from Saudi Arabia, a country he is quite familiar with. He previously made perfumes for Saudi Arabian royalty and now applies his knowledge of the Eastern World to his eponymous fragrance house. Some of his other favorite ingredients include vanilla, bergamot and musk. His perfumes’ signature aluminum bottles help the fragrances continue to develop even as they sit on the shelf.
