Mon Premier Crystal Absolu Sensuel by Lalique Perfume.
Mon Premier Crystal Absolu Sensuel is a woody oriental scent inspired by the melting warmth of glass. This fragrance, which hit stores in 2017, has a top note of bergamot. The heart includes jasmine and heliotrope, while the base features vanilla, amber, white musks, tonka beans and patchouli.
René Lalique's namesake brand actually started as a glass company. Lalique originally created jewelry during the Art Noveau period, which lasted
from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. The designer then switched his focus to glassware, partnering with Francois Coty on elaborate perfume bottles. Previously, fragrances came in ordinary bottles that did not match the luxury of the scents inside them. Thanks to Lalique's vessels, women did not have to separately purchase ornate decanters for their fragrances. The designer created bottles for other perfume brands prior to his death in 1945. In the 1990s, his granddaughter started creating fragrances to go with the brand's elaborate bottles.
