Super awesome discovery!
Whoa! To say that this fragrance took me by surprise is an understatement. I received this in the mail about an hour ago and after unboxing it let off two sprays. This is an awesome fragrance. It smells just like what the cap looks like. It's very woody and earthy. At the same time it's got this mysterious vibe to it. This would be great for a first date. The girl would take one whiff of you and be swept off her feet. I thought Pa Nuit De L'homme was the perfect date fragrance, but this is a major competitor. It strikes me mire of an evening fragrance, but this fragrance could be worn anytime and place. Ladies watch our. You've been warned, lol.

Not for everyone, but wow.
I actually blind bought this one despite some of the cautionary comments found online. It definitely isn't for everyone, but if you like darker, earthy smelling fragrances, check this one out. For the price, it is a steal. It doesn't smell like a "designer" fragrance. It has a rich, complex earthy smell that I can't help but think of a morning walk in a dewy mythical forest when I smell it. It isn't necessarily a panty dropper or a versatility beast, but you can certainly wear this anytime, though it leans toward fall and spring for me personally. It lasts for a long time on my skin. I could see this being someone's signature fragrance if they have a uniqueness to their style and personality.

Now I know this purchase was a stroke of genius.
I don't wear fragrance normally. but I was always wanted to wear it someday. While searching for my hopefully favorite fragrance, I came to see this one. woody, musky, and maybe smells like a rainforest. I'm living a busy life like many of us do. So maybe I wanted to smell the soothing, natural scent. I like to reviews, so I bought it. After the first use, I quite liked it. It smelled like just what I was thinking about it. It wasn't too exotic, nor it was just too common like cool airplane skin lotion scent. It was my first purchase of any kinds of fragrance so... yeah This is some human's first contact with his own fragrance purchase.

Modern classic
Though Encre Noire is a tad offbeat, it is quite versatile. Work friendly, great for cooler, rainy days. The right person can even wear this on a date and make a lasting impression. It's not wildly transformational but it's not completely linear. I get a great deal of vetiver for several hours, but in the last few hours before it fades, I get a softly sweet and clean musk that brings the olfactory experience in for a nice landing. A must try for vetiver fans. Marketed to men but would work well on a woman who doesn't need to smell like candy or overbearing florals (I love florals if blended well). The sport and extreme flankers are wonderful in their own right too; the former is a bit brighter and more almost woody-watery (good for warmer weather); latter is slightly boozy and dusty smoky, great for autumn.

Dry, addicting vetiver
Totally unisex. Would be my signature scent if I believed in such things. As it is, will ignore scores of other fragrances I have, to wear this one. Looking forward to it's refreshing soothing quality in the heat. Already know it has enough depth for cooler months. Dries down to a dupe for PG's Rare Matale - the much more expensive juice I bought first. :(.
