The slogan for this aquatic-inspired women's fragrance is “For Water Addicts Only,” making it ideal for beach days or poolside nights. Top notes of mandarin and raspberry leaf are crisp, clean, and tart, while the heart of this scent comes from magnolia, rose, and jasmine. These aromatic flowers convey freshness and romance. Base notes of patchouli and vetiver give this perfume an earthy, woody finish with a hint of musk.
The scent was created in 2018 by perfumer Louise Turner, who has developed dozens of scents for other top designers.
Kenzo devoted himself to fashion initially, with his first major successes coming in 1970. He introduced Japanese elements to the world of haute couture, starting with his Paris boutique. He moved on to perfume in 1987, and his first fragrance for women debuted in 1988. Since then, he has collaborated with perfumers to launch over a hundred fragrances.
Kenzo had his breakout year in 1970 when he presented his first collection to positive reviews, opened his first store, Jungle Jap, and had one of his designs worn on the cover of ELLE magazine. With his new found popularity Kenzo was able to present his next collections in New York and Tokyo.
