Launched in late March 2018, Jean Paul Gaultier Eau Fraiche is a sweet summer fragrance for women with a white floral essence. Top notes of sugar cane juice, lemon sorbet and ginger bring out the sweet and tart of a summer dessert. The heart consists of floral notes with orange blossom taking center stage with jasmine and Tiare flower dancing in the background. The base is grounded in notes of net-labdanum, vanilla and musk. The
bottle was designed in collaboration with artist André Saraiva.
Famously, French fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier created Madonna’s cone bra of the early 1990s. He started creating fashion as a young man in 1976. Jean Patou and Pierre Cardin saw his talent and helped him along in the beginning. To date, the company has created over 100 perfumes for men and women. Each classic edition has limited editions complete with new “fashions” for the bottles.
Born in 1952 in France, Jean Paul Gaultier has managed to make a name for himself in fashion without any formal training. Sending sketches to various couture stylists Gaultier managed to get in the door at Pierre Cardin as an assistant in 1970. Setting up his own label in 1976, Gaultier’s edgier side came to light taking his inspiration more from the London street scene than Parisian couture.
