Introduced in 2019, Jean Paul Gaultier Cabaret is an Oriental floral fragrance with white floral, vanilla, fresh spicy, sweet and citrus main accords. It features a ginger top note, an orange blossom heart note, and bae notes of vanilla and ambergris. With long-lasting longevity and enormous sillage, this scent is best worn on fall and winter evenings. The flacon is in the shape of a woman's torso, wearing a glittery red dress.
Paul Gaultier introduced his first fashion collection in 1976. Though he had no formal fashion design training, his talent was recognized by designers Pierre Cardin and Jean Patou. Gaultier became known as the enfant terrible of fashion, with his clothes ranging from haute couture to streetwear. He introduced skirts for men in the 1980s and created the singer Madonna's cone bra, made famous during her Blonde Ambition tour. Gaultier's brand began creating perfumes in 1993, with Puig holding the fragrance license.
Born in 1952 in France, Jean Paul Gaultier has managed to make a name for himself in fashion without any formal training. Sending sketches to various couture stylists Gaultier managed to get in the door at Pierre Cardin as an assistant in 1970. Setting up his own label in 1976, Gaultier’s edgier side came to light taking his inspiration more from the London street scene than Parisian couture.
