Issey Miyake is a Japanese fashion designer who founded his line in Tokyo in 1970. Although originally known for his innovative fabrics and practical garments, he branched out into perfumes in 1992 and has since created nearly 100 high-end scents. Although Miyake officially retired in 1997, he remains with the company in an oversight role.
