Guess Gold by Guess Cologne. Guess Gold for men compliments the 2006 release of Guess Gold for women.
The cologne opens up with wormwood which brings an interesting note commonly found in vermouth and absinthe. The bitter green start transitions to a gourmand heart with notes of lavender, white pepper, nutmeg and ginger. Sensuous sandalwood, musk, Peru balsam, suede, amber and fir come together in the dry down for a masculine finish that lasts long after you’ve left the room. The bottle is
shaped in the signature G in beautiful gold. The dark liquid is seen through the center.
American fashion brand Guess started in 1977. The California-based company launched during the designer jean trend through the ‘70s and ‘80s. French-raised, Moroccan-born brothers Maurice, Armand, Georges and Paul Marciano became a bestselling brand in the ‘80s for their jeans. By the ‘90s, the company sold watches, home accessories, fragrances and jeans for both sexes. Some of the most famous models started with their advertising.
After leaving France in 1981 to avoid a tax bill (which they settled in 1986) from their previous retail store business, the brothers Marciano settled in Los Angeles to try their luck. Among the items sold at their Beverly Hills store were jeans designed by the Marcianos. Branded GUESS, these jeans were different from what was currently available on the market but as the designer denim craze had faded, their popularity was uncertain.
