78 Vintage Green was named after the year in which the chic American design house Banana Republic was founded. The scent was created by perfumer Gino Percontino, and first launched in 2017 as part of the Icon collection. Founded by Mel and Patricia Ziegler as a safari and travel themed clothing store in 1978, Banana Republic was known by their eccentric, hand illustrated catalog filled with high end and unique items accompanied with interesting stories from exotic locations, or more common high volume products touched up in the same way.
