Yapana by Volnay Perfume. With unique ingredients to give this balsamic perfume complexity, Yapana was released in 2013 as one of a series of five
revived versions of original formulas, this one from 1922. Top notes of rosy pink pepper, bergamot, and pink grapefruit give it a bright start that rests on the middle heart notes of rose, vanilla, ylang-ylang, elemi resin, cloves, and powdery notes. The base shines in this perfume with labdanum, Siam benzoin, iris, rice, patchouli, and vanilla.
Amelie Bourgeois was the perfumer behind this reformulated scent.
Volnay, or Parfums Volnay Paris, is an old perfume house that was first launched in 1922. In recent years, five original perfumes have been revamped by Amelie Bourgeois and released onto the market. These perfumes carry the spirit of their original inspirations with the added subtleties of the modern day. All Volnay scents rely on a base “4092,” an olfactory starting point composed of vanilla, clove, and powdery rose.
