2013. Top notes of bergamot, pineapple, lemon, and peach give this perfume a juicy start before heading into the floral heart notes of rose, magnolia, and jasmine. The base is primarily patchouli, supported by cedar, musk, amber, and vanilla. Michel Almairac is the nose behind this lovely feminine perfume.
Originally an apothecary before it
became a perfume house, Shiseido was founded in 1872 by pharmacist Arinobu Fukuhara. In later years, it would be this company that introduced Japan to color cosmetics with face powders. It expanded throughout Asia, then to America and Europe throughout the 50’s and 60’s, even making it to New Zealand in 1971. Their first fragrance, Zen, was launched in 1965, and they have continued to produce fragrances as well as cosmetics, skin care, and hair care through 18 different brands worldwide.
