Robert Piguet started his career as a fashion designer. He went away from home when he was just 17, and he soon began working under the tutelage of Paul Poiret. Once he had an adequate amount of
experience, he started his own fashion company in 1933. His fashions quickly gained prominence due to the elegance he put into every piece. In the 1940s, Piguet partnered with Germaine Cellier to start making perfumes. Aurelien Guichard is the nose that created Alameda. Guichard comes from a family of perfumers. His father was famed perfumer Jean Guichard. Aurelien studed at the Givaudan perfumery school and has worked on numerous fragrances throughout his career.
