Marylebone Wood by Penhaligon's Perfume. Marylebone Wood is a woodsy, amber, balsamic fragrance for women and men. It has bright citrusy top notes, including a dominant grapefruit note. Base notes are richer and more savory, including notes of amber, patchouli, vetiver, sandalwood, and cedar.

It is made by Penhaligon’s, a British perfumery established in 1870. The company began life as a barber shop run by William Penhaligon, but it began offering fragrances in 1872. Read More inspired by the Turkish bath next door to the shop, and was a conscience attempt to recreate the atmosphere of the neighborhood in which Penhaligon’s shop was based. Though the shop was destroyed in the Blitz of 1941, it reopened in 1956 and began releasing fragrances for men and women once more.

This scent was launched in 2018. It takes its name from the neighborhood in West London that was home to Sherlock Holmes, the Wallace Collection, and other sites of historical significance.
