Godolphin by Parfums De Marly Cologne. Named for the sire of a long line of winning racehorses, Godolphin is an aromatic men’s cologne launched by
Parfums de Marly in 2010. It leads with a warm and spicy combination of top notes that include thyme and saffron, as well as soft green and fruity notes. In the heart, you’ll find rich, sweet notes of rose, iris and jasmine that give way to a wonderfully woody and animalistic base of leather, grassy vetiver, cedar, musk, amber and vanilla.
de Marly is a French perfume house that takes its name from the favorite perfume maker of King Louis Xv, the 18th-century monarch who so loved perfume that he commissioned a new scent for his home daily. He loved horses equally, and the contemporary perfume maker pays homage to the creatures in its logo and cologne names. The nose behind Godolphin is Michele Saramito, who has designed fragrances for several perfume houses.
