Christophe Raynaud de Ponfilly built Idole Power Perfume in 2022 as a louder answer to the original Idole. Deep burgundy glass and a jeweled stopper give it away before you even smell it. This isn't the soft version. Confidence is the whole point here, and Lancôme made this one for people who want their scent to walk into a room first.

Vanilla and musk settle underneath everything, warm rather than heavy, with cashmeran humming along like skin itself. Get past the fruit first, though. Tart blackcurrant and pomegranate open things up against juicy mandarin, and orange blossom arrives in the middle alongside almond, rounding out the sharper edges with something creamy. Genuine weight sits behind this fruity floral. Two sprays and a room fills up fast. Projection holds for hours, so it suits evenings and dates and any night you want to be felt as much as seen.
