Unable to get his shoe brand in at Market Week, Cole needed another way to get people to see his shoe designs. By producing a feature-length film, The Birth of a Shoe Company, the brand was able to set up a trailer outside the hotel with a film company permit. The launch was a success, and this brand has been producing enviable fashions ever since.
The son of a shoe manufacturer, American born Kenneth Cole decided to go into the family business after studying law at Emory University in Atlanta.
