Opening notes of zesty bergamot, fresh mint, and basil make for a stimulating first whiff. As those notes evaporate, floral middle notes of clary sage, multi-tinged cardamom, juicy apple, and smooth lavender wander in and leave an intoxicating impression. It later settles down to a comforting base of creamy sandalwood, resinous amber, and musk.
Evolution was released in 2013, packaged in a timeless blue and silver bottle. The nose behind this scent is Dominque Preyssas, a prolific French perfumer. Jaguar released their first male fragrance in 1988, and a female one in 1993. Their latest is from 2016. They are mainly an England-based auto manufacturer that produces luxury automobiles, such as sports cars and race cars. The fragrances give everyone the chance to experience the purr of their engines, capturing that vigor in a bottle. A few of the “noses” who have worked on them include Vincent Schaller, Maurice Roucel, Philippe Romano, Annick Menardo, Alexandra Monet and Karine Dubreuil.
