Pierre-Francois Pascal Guerlain established the brand that took his last name in 1828. It has always been a family business and its founder began by making fragrances with his two sons. It opened its first store in Paris, France, in 1840 and was soon commissioned to create perfumes for French and British royalty. The company is now known worldwide for its fragrances, skin care and cosmetic lines.
As one of the oldest French perfume houses in the world, Guerlain can still hold its own in this day and age.
