Frapin The Orchid Man Cologne

Details and Care for The Orchid Man

The Orchid Man Cologne by Frapin is a bold yet sophisticated men's fragrance born from one of the most storied houses in French luxury. Frapin, a name synonymous with excellence in the Grande Champagne region of Cognac, France, has been perfecting the art of distillation for over 500 years. When this legendary Cognac house turned its attention to fine perfumery, it brought that same commitment to craftsmanship and heritage into every bottle. The Orchid Man is a testament to that legacy - a daring composition that takes the traditionally feminine orchid and reframes it through a distinctly masculine lens, resulting in a fragrance that is as intriguing as the man who wears it.

The Orchid Man Cologne opens with a vibrant burst of cardamom, pink pepper, and ginger - a spicy, energetic introduction that commands attention from the very first spritz. The fragrance changes, from a floral heart that is rich and lush, to a blend that is primarily comprised of the orchids, irises, and jasmines, all of which together render a lavish, velvety middle note that is not at all trivial. A dry-down phase is where it all becomes less complicated, with the fragrance resting on a smooth bed of sandalwood, vetiver, amber, and musk which uphold the whole composition with depth and can be remembered by the audience. This is a scent that becomes the narrative on the person - well suited for the contemporary male who crosses effortlessly between the boardrooms and the evening events, making a lasting impression wherever he goes.
