Dolce & Gabbana Velvet Rose was released in 2014, adding another fragrance to the Velvet Collection that was created in 2011. The perfume encompasses several unique floral notes to create a truly inimitable aroma. Top notes of Salomon lily and citrus introduce the fragrance with a fresh attitude. The heart notes are where this perfume gets its name, consisting of four types of roses—Bulgarian rose, rose centifolia, May rose, and Moroccan
rose. The bottom of the scent is rounded out with a musky velvione to finish off this sophisticated and versatile fragrance. Like the other perfumes in the collection, this one is packaged in a clear square glass bottle with gold trim and topped with a velvet-covered lid.
Dolce & Gabbana was founded in 1985, but did not release their first fragrance until 1992. Their flashy and sexy take on clothing and accessories is a favorite of many celebrity—perhaps most notably Madonna, who has hired the Italian fashion house to create custom costume designs.
