Diptyque Vetyver by Diptyque Perfume. Diptyque Vetyver is a fresh-spicy, unisex fragrance first released in May 2010.
Top notes create a bittersweet citrus accord of Amalfi lemon, bergamot, mandarin orange, and grapefruit. At the heart, romantic and sensual floral notes of rose and geranium contrast with earthy spices of carrot seeds, nutmeg, and cloves. Unsurprising, the dry, woody odor of vetiver dominates the base notes, balanced by resinous cedar and the animalistic nuance of musk.
fragrance was designed by the 2010 winner of the International Fragrance Prize, Olivier Pescheux, who was educated at the Isipca school. Founded in 1961, Diptyque is a perfume house that started life as a French home furnishings salon founded by three artists: Desmond Know-Leet, Christiane Gautrot, and Yves Coueslant. They added scented candles to their repertoire in 1963, and as the popularity of this product grew, it was a logical step to begin offering fragrances, the first of which was introduced in 1968.
