The company has always had a commitment to producing products that had a real sense of art to them. This is due to the fact the brand was founded by three artists. They included Christiane Gautrot, Desmond Knox-Leet and Yves Coueslant. The first perfume for the brand house did not come out until 1968, and this first scent was based on old English recipes.
