Demeter Frankincense by Demeter Perfume. Demeter Frankincense is a unisex scent that debuted in 2015.
This fragrance contains only one note – frankincense. Yet the perfume crafters exhibit the full exotic beauty of that one resinous note. Native to North Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, Boswellia sacra trees exude a fragrant resin when their bark is injured. Frankincense reveals its full body with woody, spicy, smoky, amber-like and balsamic accords in this fragrance.
Library began in 1993 as a partnership between American perfumer Christopher Brosius and marketing exec Christopher Gable. The newly formed company launched its first three scents in 1993 in partnership with Henri Bendel department stores. The innovative debut fragrances quickly caught on and showed the world what Demeter was about: bottling aromas from nature and everyday life with long-lasting formulas containing a higher perfume oil concentration. This success paved the way for the company to establish its European arm, The Library of Fragrance, in 2015.
