Founded in Spain in 1932 by Javier
Serra, the perfume house Dana moved to Paris shortly thereafter. In 1940, it moved again to the United States to escape the German occupation. The first perfume it launched was Tabu by Jean Carles. The perfume house has since collaborated with such designers as Loc Dong, Iff, and Benoist Lapouza. The bottle of Love’s Eau So Fabulous boasts a bold red top that fades to pink—the colors of passion—with a gold heart etched on the front.
The house of Dana was established in 1932 in Barcelona, Spain by Javier Sierra, formerly with the Spanish perfume house of Myrurgia. The house was named after Danae, the mother of Perseus in Greek mythology. An alleged great beauty, Danae has come to symbolize female beauty and it is her representation that graced the company’s logo.
