Founded in 1979 by Adrienne Vittadini, the fragrance company by the same name first became popular for producing timeless clothing. The company first built a reputation on creating classic pieces with modern twists and didn't enter into the world of fragrances until 1994 when it partnered with Elizabeth Arden.
