Acqua di Parma is an Italian fragrance house that was founded in 1916 in Parma, Italy. The brand was extremely popular and grew quickly, eventually making devotees out of celebrities like Cary Grant, Ava Gardner and Audrey Hepburn. The later part of the 20th century brought struggle to the company. In the 1990s, three influential businessmen of the companies Tods, Ferrari, and La Perla championed the cause of restoring Acqua di Parma to its former glory. They were successful in achieving this and in 2003, the company was acquired by luxury conglomerate Lvmh.
