1869 by Acca Kappa Cologne. Launched in 2005, 1869 is a men’s leather cologne with ozonic, leather, aromatic, fresh spicy, aquatic, and animalic main
accords. It is named after the year the company was founded. The scent begins with head notes of geranium and cardamom. At the heart are violet leaf, leather, and iris notes, and at the base are ambergris and vanilla notes. This fragrance works well for day wear during the spring and fall months.
Acca Kappa was founded in 1869 by Hermann Krull in
Treviso, a village near Venice, Italy. Krull, a German merchant, initially set out to manufacture premium brushes and accessories from Oriental materials. In the middle of the 20th century, the company began selling soap, skin care and hair care products, hand cream, and shaving foams and accessories. The brand became well-known for its premium products, high quality, and natural ingredients. The first fragrance was not released until 1997, with new fragrances continuing to be produced.
