Nuit de Noel by Caron ,I am so thankful that you carry this line! My mother had been looking for it for years after her best friend brought it back to her from Paris. It made the perfect gift! Nuit de Noel has a subtle but sweet smell not too overpowering. It would be great for evening wear.

Review of Nuit de Noel by Scent Hound

One of the true fragrance greats on which Ernest Daltroff's and Caron's reputations were made. Rich, lush oriental with rose, oakmoss, sandalwood and jasmine, Nuit de Noel is a sensual yet comforting fragrance that is powdery but a little smokey, too. Not many made like this anymore.

Review of Nuit de Noel by Pamela Es

The House of Caron’s Nuit de Noel remains one of Ernest Daltroff’s (Caron’s founder) masterpieces. Available in both EdT and pure parfum, Nuit de Noel is truly worthy of the term classic. The EdT opens with lovely, bright notes which are like twinkling lights on a Christmas tree, or like the tinkle of jingle bells. There’s a rosy note which makes its way to the forefront, then the drydown is that incredible Saxon Moss which makes this perfume so rich. Saxon Moss consists of geranium, licorice, leather, iodine and vanillin. The sum total of the citrus notes in the opening, the Saxon Moss, oakmoss, rose, orris, sandalwood and jasmine make for a smooth fragrance which develops seamlessly from one stage to the next. Warm, cozy, and with touches of a subtle smokiness here and there, this is the sugarplum dancing around in the heads of the children in The Night Before Christmas. Nuit de Noel , launched in 1922, is a quietly provocative scent. It’s said to be reminiscent of the Roaring ‘20s, and while the smoky note might conjure images of furs, long tipped cigarettes and a jazz club, I find Nuit de Noel to be very comforting and contemplative.

Review of Nuit de Noel by Rocket Girl

Lovely and ethereal, as the name suggests, my first impression of this scent was intense powder. When the powder settles down and the scent begins to warm on the skin, it transforms into a melange of rich spice, woodsy incense, and gentle sweetness. It doesn't smell like Christmas to me, per se, but it does evoke a cold, crisp evening and the warmth one craves during it.

Review of Nuit de Noel by Margaret Murphy

Caron released Nuit de Noel in 1922, in the aftermath of the first World War, and this fragrance came to embody the spirit of the "Roaring Twenties." Nuit de Noel is classified as an "oriental floral," but I find it much more difficult to describe than most orientals or florals. Its primary notes are rose, jasmine, ylang ylang, sandalwood, and Saxony moss, but they are blended into a seamless, sophisticated creation that is more than the sum of its parts. Although the name of this fragrance can be translated as "Christmas Eve," it doesn't evoke anything as straightforward as potpourri or a pine tree. This is a complex, old-fashioned, perfume-lover's perfume, along the lines of Arpege or Chanel No. 5, with a mystery and dark sensuality of its own. It's velvety in texture, with a composition as layered as jazz music or a good wine, to be savored and experienced gradually, not to be taken lightly. I should add that I truly disliked this fragrance when I sniffed it in my 20s, but when I tried it again in my 30s, I swooned. (The parfum concentration is even more wonderful than the EDT, although it's harder to find.)
