"I love Sarah Jessica Parker perfume "Lovely". The scent is light enough for daywear and very lovely for a night out! The fragrance isn't heavy and smells like a fresh summer scent and somewhat a flowery smell. I love the shimmer glass tube of perfume for my purse and the look of the shimmer on my skin. The lotion is a great underneath moisture lotion that makes the perfume linger on through the evening. This "Lovely" is a very nice gift set, I'd buy it again! "

"I bought this about a year ago, thinking it was indeed "lovely". I tried it several times at the department store before buying it, and I enjoyed it at first, although the stage in between first application and "dry down" was not as pleasant, and it disappears after about 4 hours. However, it has "turned" somehow and now smells like bugspray, it's untolerable, I will have to throw it away. I know that my taste hasn't changed because I tried it at the store and the new bottle smells fine. Shame. Never had this happen before, I keep them in my dark closet where it's cool."

"I purchased the Tester bottle (3.4oz) and will never make the mistake of buying perfume from a department store again. Perfume.com was quick with my delivery and came through with exactly what I was looking for. This type arrived in the exact same bottle that I would have normally purchased, with the standard top in an unmarked box. Though this probably varies between brands, with LOVELY, I received more than I had hoped for. "I received this for Christmas last year. The scent seems "old". If you want to smell like "Mrs. Thuston Howell the Third" form Gilligan's Island, this is for you. Try it on at the perfume counter first to see how it works with you. It disappears from skin quickly, but hangs on your clothes a long while, so take care not to get it on your coat!"

"I've been wearing Lovely now for about 6 months and I love it! I think it is a wonderful choice for anyone who likes a clean, crisp, slightly earthy floral scent. I disagree with the review that states the scent is overbearing. I haven't had that experience but understand how that is a turn-off. I don't care at all for a strong scent. Lovely is not such a scent and will not disappoint. I'm very picky about the perfumes I wear so tend to have the same 2 favorites- Estee Lauder Pleasures and Clinque Happy to Be. Lovely is a lovely alternative to those and I think it smells so great!"

"I have to admit that at first LOVELY is not at all what I'd expected! I guess I was thinking it would smell flowery, connecting Sarah Jessica Parker to it and her pink tutu's. Having said that, I think Lovely is a 100 times better than I thought it could ever be. It's intoxicating and alluring and has a power of its own. "As far as celeb. perfumes go, this is one of the best. Smells absolutely heavenly. It makes you feel feminine, without being too over powering, or too girly. A lot of other perfumes are too strong, and make you feel as if you're still in high school. This is a more mature scent. You could wear this scent daily, unlike some that you tend to save for special occasions. It goes well with every occasion, even running to the gorcery store. I love it. I have a three year old who loves to sit on my lap and smell me after I've put this perfume on, and he usually does not like perfue because he thinks it is stinky. "This perfume is not that bad for the price. I brought this because I am a fan of Jessica and was a little disappointed with this product. The bottle looks appealing and the price is not that expensive for perfume. However, when I tried on the fragrance, it did not last but more than 3 hours unless I put on a lot; also, I could not smell it when I was wearing it but others told me they smelled it for a while but only when I passed them by. However, this is a nice sweet smell that is not bad. When I was in the grocery store, a person came up to me and asked what type of perfume I was wearing. So, I guess it smelled good or the lady would have not asked. I would only recommend this product if the company could make the perfume last longer, then I would buy it. Please do not waste your money on this unless you do not want the perfume to stay more than 3 hours. One bad thing I noticed when wearing this perfume was more bugs came to me as I was outside. When I wear other brands of fragrance, I do not get the bugs come to me but with this perfume I did. I would not put this on when I go outside only when I am inside the whole day or in the winter, never in the summer or spring again. Unless you do not mind the bugs you would be fine."

"I just tried this perfum today and I absolutely love it. So fresh and light and soft. Perfect for the spring/summer time. THis could be my HG perfum. I read other reviews left on this board, and I guess it's common that someone hates it because the same perfum would not smell the same on different people. "With a name like "Lovely," I thought Sarah Jessica Parker might be taking on a bigger name than her fragrance could fill. I was wrong. This perfume is exactly that. In a world of designer perfumes, so many of which are awful, this is a delight. It's light, fresh, not too cloying, and still different than anything else out there on the market. I love this scent, and people seem to like it on me too judging from the reactions I've had. I however did not find this perfume up to that standard.The biggest problem is that it is not long lasting. You put in on and within 15 minutes the smell of the perfume simply disappears. The smell, as long as it lasts, is good. Its gentle and flowery. If the smell would have been lasting this would have been one of my favorite perfumes."

Maybe it is the combination of scents, but I would have loved if they played up the orchild more than the cedar, it is quite strong, almost a leathery type undertone. I do have a bottle and wear it from time to time, I have received compliments, so it could just be how it smells to me, because either others are just being kind or they truly do like the scent. I would recommend if you are interested in this product to give it a try, if possible maybe test it first. I would purchase it for some friends I have as a gift, as they seem to be more geared towards a stronger "toned" scent, while I seem to gear more towards the floral softer scents."

"I usually don't go for celebrity perfumes because they tend not to live up to expectations. My friend had a bottle of this stuff lying around after she got it as a gift for Christmas. We were getting ready to go out and I decided it to give it a spritz. I was really shocked at how much I enjoyed this scent. It definitely is a little muskier than most scents I tend to go for, but it is by no means an "old lady" scent. It's very light and airy and deeply warm at the same time. It's a very versatile scent. "Lovely smells to me "rich." As in affluent. As in cashmere, and leather seats, and shoes worn so seldom they still smell like the box. It's a musk that has a bright burst at the beginning, and then settles right into it's violet cashmere story. I really like it. "Lovely smells to me \"rich.\" As in affluent. As in cashmere, and leather seats, and shoes worn so seldom they still smell like the box. It\'s a musk that has a bright burst at the beginning, and then settles right into it\'s violet cashmere story. I really like it. Only four stars though, because it\'s one of those fragrances my nose becomes accustomed to, so I need to spray more to smell it again -- and I don\'t like to be a poor judge of the actual amount of fragrance I\'m emitting."

"I tested this at Ulta the other day, and I was pleasantly surprised. This is primarily a musk-focused scent. There are supposed to be other notes in this--spices and such--but I don't smell anything except a light, fresh, clean musk, with a hint of earthiness from the patchouli. Normally patchouli makes me run and hide, but it's used with a very light touch here, and it does a good job of grounding the otherwise light, airy musk."

"I had a layover in an airport that gave me time to stop by the duty free shop in the terminal and browse. I tried just a dab of Lovely and kept browsing. I went to my gate to wait as my departure time neared. The fragrance was amazing - not over powering at all. It reminded me of the perfect date - you know, when you look great and feel great. When you have the perfect dress and the perfect fragrance. The more I waited for my flight, the more I was convinced I needed to go back to the shop and buy Lovely. Honestly, it is the perfect scent for women who like subtle scents. I even called my sister and said she had to try it."

"I am not one of these people who run out and purchase a new perfume simply because it has a celebritys name on it. However, as I heard Oprah Winfrey indorse "Lovely," even going so far as to say it was her new favorite perfume (!) that was reason for me to take notice because Oprah is a woman whose opinions I greatly respect. With that said, I tried Lovely, and immediately fell in love with it! As everyone seems to agree, it has a clean, fresh and feminine scent that is in no way over-powering, but rather, just right. An even greater delight is the secondary and bottom notes which keep me smelling my wrist were I dab it, all day long to see what pleasant surprises await! The middle and bottom notes are warm and feminine with a hint of sensuality. Lovely is indeed..lovely."
