Gendarme is my signature scent for over 20 years. I am often identified by my scent and always recieve compliments. I have sampled many scents over the years but Gendarme always win out. A dear friend suggested that I try the Prada for men because it had similiar notes. It was nice but not as clean and fresh as the Gendarme. I can not imagine any other scent for myself. It continues to make me feel good about myself. I rate it a 5 plus!

I have been wearing Gendarme for close to 20 years and consider it to be my signature scent. I consistantly am complimented and asked "what is the fragrance you are wearing". At one time the only place I could purchase it was at I. Magnin's and once they closed I was able to purchase it at several Macy's stores. I now buy it at perfume.com because of the price and connvienece. Gendrame is light, fresh and clean smelling. I find must men's fragrances to be heavy and oily smelling. I will not wear any other scent. Some of my women friends have bought Gendarme for thier husbands or boyfriends and even themselves.

This fragrance is much too fresh for me. It smells a lot like soap and has been around way too long. I wish Gendarme would get a bit more creative and release some new fragrances as I believe that they have the potential to design some great scents.

Easily my absolute favorite Men's cologne. I follow my hubby around when he wears this & I have been known to wear it myself! This is a great clean, unisex scent. Fresh, kind of green but yet I can smell a powdery drydown on this. I think this is a scent that really would smell slightly different on everyone. Perfect for those with allergies. I actually spoke with the maker on the phone one time & he stated that this is the reason he made this scent & his others were for people that had a hard time wearing strong cologne's. He really prides himself on how this can be worn by anyone, & how fresh & clean it is. Great stuff!
