Aromatics Elixir by Clinique is a chypre floral fragrance for women that goes beyond the role of perfume. Top notes include aldehydes, coriander, chamomile, clary sage, lemon verbena, bergamot, Brazilian rosewood and geranium; middle notes are carnation, tuberose, orange blossom, orris root, jasmine, ylang-ylang and rose; base notes are sandalwood, patchouli, musk, oak moss, vetiver and incense. The golden fragrance comes in a striking glass bottle with silver cap.

"Haunting" - "Memorable" - "Mysterious" - are all words that come to mind when wearing this very unique perfume! I've had strangers approach and ask what I'm wearing; I've been told "I can't get you out of my mind" by men I've encountered at meetings; and women have told me that their husbands have asked them to find out the name of the perfume "that woman over there" is wear- ing!! Will I ever "switch" to a different fragrance? NOT LIKELY!!!!

I began using Aromatics Elixir Perfume for Women by Clinique in 1976 and have being using it ever since. I wear it everyday. After about 15 minutes I cannot smell it , but everyone else can. I am often asked what frangrance am I wearing and I tell them. The frangrance is not loud or overbearing it is just a fresh clean smell. Thank you for making such a wonderful fragrance just for me.

Love at first sniff!! What a beautiful essence in a bottle... a woodsy, earthy and romantic aldehyde. Makes you feel like a fairy tale princess, just stepping out of the magical forest. This is captivating, classy and completely unique. I receive compliments every time I wear this gorgeous perfume, and cannot go more than a few days without putting some on. Addictive, with a sultry drydown. Lovely and lovelier throughout the day. Sherwood forest in a glass bottle!

There are very classy scents that are oil based so that mature women (whose skin gets dry with age) can wear, knowing it will last all day. I can understand what "old lady smell" is; when I was in my early twenties & thirties, I didn't like aromatics elixir, youth dew by estee lauder. My mother wore them & although she smelled great, they weren't for me at the time. Now I love them.
