Coty for Women - It was not the fact that he was a talented perfumer and a marketing genius that got François Coty his start in the perfume business in 1904 but more a moment of maladroit as when he dropped a bottle of La Rose Jacqueminot on the counter of the Grands Magasins du Louvre, customers swarmed the area wanting to purchase his fragrance. With his supply selling out within a few minutes, the store proceeded to offer him a place on their floor leading to the establishment of Coty as major force in the world of perfume.
Coty was also the first to comprehend that packaging was as important the fragrance itself when it came to marketing as an attractive and fancy bottle was also a selling feature. Not only did Coty produce commissioned scents for the rich and well to do, he also sold his popular fragrances in smaller bottles to the lesser class making his version of luxury affordable to all. Coty’s perfume business eventually made him one of the wealthiest men in France and though the perfumery that still bears his name has gone through numerous changes in ownership, it is remains one of the most respected manufacturers of fragrances in the world.

Love it, I have worn it since the 70's....please don't discontinue this perfume. When I wear it, my kids (ages 44 and 42) say it's the smell they associate with me. It is long lasting even in the Florida heat....

I ,110% fully agree with the other review's of men & women,here.The new spray bottles of women's non-constrated Coty's Wild Musk Oil Perfume.Are not worth the time,or wasting the money to buy them.Because the smell of this women's Coty's Wild Musk Oil Perfume does not last,at all.Unlike the women's,original constrated 5oz,small botttle,with dabber Coty's Wild Musk Oil Perfume.Smell last a long time.And my long time girlfriend is really p.o.ed about this worthless.New unconstrated spray bottles,of women's,Coty's Wild Musk Oil Perfume.

I've been wearing Dark Vanilla since Christmas 1998, it was my scent. It was so different and I received so many compliments for it, easily the best scent out there! Please bring it back, I miss it so much and was truly stunned when I heard it was discontinued. I am not me without it!!!
