As an answer to the absence of a denim brand specifically dedicated to women, Italian fashion brand Miss Sixty was launched in 1991 by Sixty Group, founded the year previous
. Quickly gaining international attention, it was able to expand to the United States just one year later. Its feminine and contemporary style coupled with its distinctive look found an immediate following and allowed it to acquire American sportswear brand Murphy&Nye in 1993.
Success continued for the brand and Miss Sixty...
was able to open a monobrand store in London in 1999. A line of footwear was introduced the following year, eyewear in 2002 and children’s wear in 2004. Miss Sixty launched its first fashion show in New York in 2006. A highly respected brand in the industry know for its quality and creativity, Miss sixty has managed to carve a strong identity for itself in a very short period of time.
In conjunction with Coty, Miss Sixty launched its first fragrance in 2005. The self titled fragrance Miss Sixty is a bright and warm oriental fragrance resting on a bouquet of flowers and contained within a fancy cocktail of fruit. The next release in 2007 was Miss Sixty Elixir a darker and more mysterious scent with delicious fruits and sweet vanilla rising out of the base. Still very exotic and oriental in nature this perfume has a bit of spice to round out its offering. Miss Sixty Rock Muse opens with sparkly citrus fruits and features a very oriental heart of jasmine and sweet basmati rice.
