Named after the Korloff diamond, Korloff Jewelry was founded in Paris in 1978 by 30 year old Daniel Paillasseur as a boutique offering luxury jewelry
. His original creations had earned Paillasseur an international following before Korloff, which only grew with his offerings—watches, accessories, eyewear, leather goods, haute couture and fragrances. Karloff has grown to become a global brand with boutiques worldwide with its wares available in more than 500 retailers around the world.
carats with 57 edges, the Korloff Noir is the largest black diamond in the world. The origin of the diamond is unknown but is believed to have come from Russia and owned by the Karloff-Sapozhnikov family. The diamond was sold in the 1920s to a diamond dealer from Paris and eventually purchased by Paillasseur in 1978 where he proceeded to name his store after it.
In 1996 Karloff introduced their first self titled perfume which is a fruity floral fragrance of fresh jasmine, lily of the valley, rose and violet resting on sandalwood and musk. Kn°I or Korloff Green was launched in 2008 and is meant to be like a bright green diamond—fresh and lively. This scent is made with light flowers resting on a bed of gentle woods and is subtle and airy yet touched with salt, making it all the more invigorating. Released the same year, Kn°III or Karloff Red is like a red diamond—passionate and beckoning. Sensuous and alluring this scent is of a powdery musk with a voluptuous bouquet of flowers rising out of it.
