. Born in 1969, McQueen was sure of his ambitions from an early age and left school at 16 to become an apprentice at Savile Row. extravagance to the catwalk through his use of technology and innovation. Though he toned down his act during his time with Givenchy from 1996 to 2001, he was still known to ruffle a feather or two. Among his accomplishments were youngest British Designer of the Year in 1996, 1997 and 2001 as well as Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire and International Designer of the Year by the Council of Fashion Designers in 2003.
In 2004 Alexander McQueen introduced his first fragrance in conjunction with Proctor & Gamble with My Queen being released in 2005. A complex scent My Queen is a mysterious and seductive concoction and consists of a four level structure in comparison to the classic three. Opening with violets and almond, this fragrance then moves into an array of light florals finishing with soft woods and spices on a bed of luxurious flowers. My Queen is housed in a graceful vessel with beautiful curves all in purple, the color of royalty and nobility.
