Roja Parfums Amber Aoud
Amber Aoud has a cult following and is one of the most sought after of Roja Dove’s creations. Amber may be in the name but Amber Oud centers around rose de mai, oud and saffron. There is a twist at the heart as the rose perfume becomes jammy, powdery and slightly sweet. The amber is warm and offsets with the smokiness of birch which gives a leathery facet. Musk is the odor of attraction, of sensuality, of wealth, and is the base upon which most perfumes are constructed. Roja Parfums Musk Aoud, composed in 2015 is one of the best musk fragrances we have found… yes there is oud but it a supporting player. There is a hint of rose, but ambrette (botanical which mimics the scent of musk) and leather combine at the base with Roja Dove’s musk accord in Roja Parfums Musk Aoud. There is elegance to this fragrance; the leather is reminiscent of supple suede gloves, that are slowly peeled off finger by finger.

Roja Parfums Enigma for Her
The star of Roja Parfums Enigma is jasmine from Grasse. After a sharp, bright burst of bergamot and geranium, Enigma settles quickly into a darker jasmine that is dense, damp, and deep. As the fragrance opens further a ripe peach emerges, all furry velvet skin and sweet juices. Enigma is opulent, exotic, sensual but also aloof. It wears closer to the skin, but it is not a skin scent. This powdery, softly floral it is also elegant and aloof. Perhaps that is why it is called Enigma.

Danger Pour Homme Cologne is a masculine fragrance that is light and fresh. Danger opens with a burst of bergamot and although it is built on a classic fougere structure, with notes of lavender, oakmoss, tonka and musk, it less formal. Like a man who takes off his jacket and is wearing a polo shirt that shows his tanned arms, Danger is a bit sexy.

Roja Dove spends a great deal of time in the Middle East which is the inspiration for many of his fragrances, including Qatar. Qatar is small state on the Arabian peninsula whose beaches are famous for priceless pearls. Ambergris is known as the pearl of perfumery and was he inspiration for this unisex perfume. Ambergris and orris, two of the most costliest ingredients in the world are used in abundance bringing a powdery iridescence that weaves in and out the entire composition.
