The founder of Yves Saint Laurent, Yves Henri Donat Mathieu-Saint-Laurent, got her start in the fashion industry when she was just 17 years old. After working for Christian Dior for a time, she branched out on her own and started her own fashion brand. Fragrances were soon added to the company’s offerings.
