Van Cleef & Arpels Bois D'iris by Van Cleef & Arpels Perfume.
First released in 2009, Van Cleef & Arpels Bois D'iris is a refreshing, calming fragrance that combines warm gourmand elements with sheer florals, light wood and incense. The opening is a sweetly dusky, subtly aqueous fusion of driftwood and iris. The soft iris tones of the introduction deepen as the scent develops, warmed by creamy sweet accords of sugar and vanilla and enriched with hints of deep, lightly leathery labdanum. The
final dry down is velvety, smooth and woody, mingling the smoke and chocolate tones of vetiver with warm ambergris, amber and myrrh.
Bois D'iris was composed by perfumer Emilie Bevierre Coppermann for the French design house Van Cleef & Arpels. The fragrance is part of the label's Collection Extraordinaire, which also includes the perfumes Cologne Noire (2009), California Reverie (2014), Gardenia Petale (2009), Lys Carmin (2009), Muguet Blanc (2009), Orchidee Vanille (2009), Precious Oud (2011) and Rose Velours (2013).
