Tom Ford Tobacco Oud by Tom Ford Perfume. Launched in 2013, Tom Ford Tobacco Oud is a shared women’s and men’s woody spicy fragrance.
It has a top note of whiskey, along with middle notes of coriander, cinnamon, and spicy notes. At the bottom are notes of tobacco, oud, patchouli, sandalwood, incense, vanilla, and cedar. It’s an ideal scent for fall and winter evenings.
Perfumer Olivier Gillotin of Givaudan created this scent, which has a black translucent bottle and cap. Tom Ford got his
start in the fashion business as a college intern at Chloe while studying architecture at New York’s Parsons School of Design. After holding positions with Cathy Hardwick and Perry Ellis, Ford moved to Milan, Italy, to work at Gucci in the womenswear division. After two years, Ford became Gucci’s creative director in 1992. After Gucci acquired Yves Saint Laurent in 2000, Ford took on the creative director role for this brand as well. He left Gucci in 2004 to start his own brand, which launched in 2006. In partnership with Estee Lauder, Ford launched his first fragrance in 2007.
Tom Ford exploded onto the fashion scene as the lead designer for Gucci and was later named the creative director of Yves Saint Laurent (YSL). While at Gucci, he managed to increase sales by 90% with his popular fashion collections. In 2005, Ford left Gucci to start his own empire, which included clothes and fragrances for men and women.
